Ace of Spades

Ace of Spades by R.J Montgomery

“Always remember you have the ace of spades, which is intimacy with God” -Kyle

I am fortunate enough to be able to work at UTSA and being around so many other students who are not following God, or don’t have a right view of Him I have been put in situations where I am talking to a group of coworkers about who Jesus is and why we should follow Him. In these situations I often feel overwhelmed and alone, but when I spend time with God I know He is with me, and He gives me courage to tell others of him

God has commanded us to go and to make disciples, He does not say it will be easy he does not say we will be liked, He actually says the opposite, but He does say He will be with us “and behold I will be with you always even to the end of the age” Matthew 28:20

We see in the Bible that time and time again God proves that He is with those who draw close to Him. Many of the battles of the Old Testament are won despite the small number of the Israelites numbers, but because of their intimacy with God.

As Christians it is so important to draw close to God as we go and make disciples.

Conviction:

One person with God is always the majority.

Practical challenge:

-Spend time everyday during the break alone with God
